"AWARENESS, AWARENESS, AWARENESS" This quote from Jesuit Anthony de Mello reminds us of the importance of mindfulness and contemplation. We can only give of our overflow and not from our cup. Join us for a weekend to refill your cup. Discern what God is calling you to do.

About the event

Being a “Mary” in a Martha World...

In our society, we are often forced to be “Marthas” or perhaps take great delight in being a Martha, serving our families and our community. Both Mary and Martha are good and holy women, as we are.  Step away from the busy world you are in and listen to your interior.

Created from the book by Joanna Weaver, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World, this retreat makes space for discernment.  Which personality type fits your spirit and prayer life? It is a wonderful exploration of our personal tendencies, and pressures, to identify and to lean into other directions.

We will use prayer, readings, folk tales and group sharing as tools to lead us into the discovery of who God calls each of us to be – a Mary or a Martha – all good and holy in God's eyes.
